It doesn’t matter what size or shape you are. Burlesque is about feeling positive about who you are, about knowing how to shake what you have and being proud of it.

Three or four of us didn’t have any talent, and we felt really stupid.

People love burlesque today because it incorporates all the old-school glamour, satire and highlights the female form — it’s something that many women can actually see themselves doing.

All of us grew up in the punk rock era, when you had to be super-cool. We’re sick of that. We want to go to shows and have fun, smile and be goofy.
