I think being tall is a little bit harder to get around on the jumps and stuff than if you’re smaller. But I think you have a lot more power.

It’s kind of unheard of. People don’t really think people from Hawaii can skate, but we’re getting better.

It was inspiring. I was six when she won and I have it on videotape. I play it back now and then to see how she did it.

The motivation from watching such good skaters is helpful. It’s like giving you extra drive when you’re practicing.
