Jack the Ripper – media myth arising when clever individual murderers concocted a monster so as to avoid suspicion.

Micro: When his mind detached from his body he saw the murderer stab him repeatedly. Later, he told the detective – who retired. He blamed stress.

Micro: Letters create words. Words create language. Language, we are told, permits knowledge & expression. Language is what we are. Are we jailed?

War – conflict where people are made to kill to live. Caused by less than 1% of a population – and experienced by the rest.

Zeitgeist – spirit of the age. No such thing. Imposition by hierarchy. People rebel – & are marginalised; or follow, chained.

Abnormal – nonsense. Suggests a norm, which is a tag placed on those who don’t conform to an elite’s view of itself.
