It is important to note this is not a suspension and not basketball related. This is a temporary leave of absence for medical reasons.

You don’t want to know how I feel about that. Out of respect to (Kentucky coach) Tubby ( Smith ), I’d rather not answer that question.

We wanted to push the tempo and run it more and I thought we did, especially after the first few minutes of the game. When the pace got up, it favored us.

We’re more athletic, but again, I’m not saying that we’re at the same athletic level of all of the teams in our conference. Our skill level also has improved. We’ve been able to compete a...

Something could have happened. I thought the player in question showed incredible restraint. I don’t know how I would have reacted under the same circumstances.

Last year we were a game or two away. This year we’re a game or two away.

Sparks can make you stretch your defense more than you want. I think it shows how much teams respect him that he still was not getting many open looks even when he was not shooting...

(Terrell) gave us a presence inside today that we haven’t had in the last few games.

Obviously we’ve got yet another game where we’re catching a team at a tough time coming off a tough loss and it seems like we’ve made a habit of that so far in the league...

Corey is a real high-energy player. That’s one reason we tried to recruit him. He made some key plays for them tonight, and that might have been the biggest.

We got a much needed win at South Carolina on Saturday. I like how our team is playing. We feel like we’ve played solid basketball over the last two or three weeks.

In some ways this game felt the game at our place only in reverse. We kind of had the game won a couple different times in Nashville and somehow found a way to not to...

They shoot it more than us, and they shoot it better.

We had a very disappointing loss (to South Carolina) and it will be very interesting to see how our team handles it. In this league, you don’t have time to mourn a loss.

Other than a minute and a half, our team played an extremely good game.

I probably deserved one long before I got that one. You’ve got to stand up and fight for your guys at some point. We out-rebounded them by 12, and not only that they had a...

I don’t get too worked up, but coaching in an SEC game and watching your son play in a big game are pretty comparable (on the nerves). But I want him to do well, that’s...

We are one of the lowest-fouling teams in the league. We have put a big emphasis on not fouling. Obviously, we were not able to master that today.

We had a very good defensive stand. We didn’t want anyone to be open. We were not to go inside the three-point line. It looked quirky with all the offensive players inside the line and...

It kind of came down to the fact our leading scorer was nowhere what we needed him to be in order to give us a chance to win on either end. He wasn’t very good...
