Why this would happen to us? I don’t know. We’ve had three tough losses and a total of five tough losses. I wouldn’t want a different group to coach. These are the guys I like....

I’m just a cruiser, … I’m not fast.

That’s my responsibility and obviously we wanted to be much more productive than we were in the playoffs. That’ll be one of the things we look hard at.

My commitment to the players was to try to keep this whole group together and hopefully improve and step up again next year.

We haven’t done one thing that anybody else can’t do.

It’s exciting to me, … because we’re getting back some high quality players that have been missing for a while.

We needed to make a few more plays. I think field position was an issue and not being able to get enough plays when we needed to.

Hopefully, they can do it,

After the first year, we’re halfway there,

I was very pleased with both starting groups there, … It’s still preseason, but we needed a good lift.

I think that’s going to be excellent work for us, … They’ve got a good day’s work lined up for us and I think it will be a good workout. Obviously, they’re a very physical...

We have a lot we need to improve on, … We’ve got a long ways to go. Certainly, I don’t think anybody here feels like we’re satisfied with our passing game or our rushing game...

All three games came down to the last play,

I think we take a long, hard look at ourselves, and it certainly starts (with) me on this, and see what we can do about it.

The quarterback situation there, yeah, experience is something they’d probably like to have. But what they have is a high-quality quarterback there.

Brandon’s super important to us and what we decided was it was probably best for the team and for him to put him on IR instead of rushing him back,

Looking back to 5-6, we talked at that time that if we lost another game we’d be out. Trying to win five straight is a tough deal, but our guys seemed to understand what it...

We kept Mark out as a precautionary measure. He looked good this morning. We don’t anticipate any problems.

We think somebody who’s 24 years old is going to be playing here a long time.

the ugliest people in the world.

The contract I signed wasn’t for three or four years. It was for five years.

I learned a lot,

I should have said, ‘Hey, we’ve got several things we’re going to turn in and want to look at with them,’ … ‘We see it one way, and we’ll see how they see it.’ That...

We’re our own worst enemy, … I don’t like the way we’re playing. We turn the ball over and commit penalties. We’re making too many mistakes and need to play smart to win football games...

He’s not a starter.

I think any of us, including Coach Parcells, would say that it’s players that win games. You have to have great players.

We felt like we had some other players that fit the role for us and do a lot of things for us. It was a competitive thing.

Experience is something I’m sure they probably would like to have,

The difference between winning this game and losing it is, you might say, the difference between facing big games now and desperation games.

Our biggest concern is Mark.

I said roughly that I was starting all over again. I don’t think the past buys you anything.

This is an exciting thing for us. One of the biggest things here is we want to keep our coaching staff. It’s very important to us. Gregg was willing to extend his contract.

He’s frustrated with the situation over the last couple years.

I certainly had second thoughts about the way the second half went, so we want to be more balanced. We want to make sure we don’t go into a game and come out of there...

We have a smart football team, and they understand,

If I had about $100 million, I could do that ? that’s what he left out, … He makes about $50 million a year, so if I could pop that, he might have a chance....

If you make a lot of yards and you turn the ball over, then you don’t score points, … So that’s a tough lesson to learn. Maybe I’m looking at the good side of it...

In the first part of the year when he was healthy, I think that’s about as good as I’ve seen anybody run — very forceful, very aggressive. I think that’s a real problem for us...

I think Patrick will tell you, hey, it was bad decisions, … Hopefully, what you do is learn from some bad experiences.

Certainly I would hope that this victory would be one that the guys say, ‘Hey look, we’re never out of something,’ … We’re going to keep fighting no matter what. I hope we can kind...

If I had to guess right now, it would be tough for John to make it back for Monday night, … We’ll be working full speed tonight to try to get all that done.

We had a couple of good talks. That’s the only statement I want to make.

He thinks the world of our team. He thinks we’ve got heart and fight.

Any time you don’t play special teams, it hurts you, … You’ve got to be a legit starter if you’re going to do that.

That is my responsibility. Obviously, I think we want to be more productive than what we were in the playoffs. That will be one of the things we look hard at. Offensively, how can we...

That’ll be one of the first things that we address. I think you’re always concerned about losing [assistant coaches]. But I feel good about what we have here to offer. I think they understand the...

The biggest misrepresentation there is, is [we spend] because [owner] Dan Snyder has a lot of money. That’s not it. We’ve got a rule. Believe me, if we had no rules, Dan would spend some...

It’s kind of hard to put your finger on it. There are a lot of things that you could sit here and make excuses about or something.

The only way we are going to make the playoffs is by beating Philly. There is not a single person in this building who believes we can get in any other way.

As far as competitive athletic wins and having great thrills, this ranks right there with them.
