It doesn’t make a lot of sense to worry about that now. We’re not going to get any extra consideration because of it.

There’s nothing wrong if you’re not my type of guy, but I think guys should have the fire burning inside them. I always knew what games to get up for. I can read. I knew...

I don’t know of a better way to lift a team.

I think we handle the ball well and I think we should always have a lot of assists. It was the kind of game I was extremely pleased about and was pretty much the way...

Right from the start, it was obvious that Virginia wanted the game. I just think Virginia wanted the game more than we did.

He’s recognizing what opposing defenses are trying to do to him and delivering the ball to his teammates. I don’t think the coaches in this league have (overlooked Smith). Maybe the fans and media isn’t...

We almost had to be perfect because we were down by so many. Truthfully, in the past, we have been [perfect], but we’ve got to learn from this. We created a couple of turnovers and...

We didn’t crash the party. We’re part of this league now. People are going to have to get used to this.

This was a total team effort. We needed to play with composure. We took bad shots and had poor execution. (Oklahoma State) was a good basketball team. We needed to calm down and show patience.

They put a lot of pressure on us, and we turned the ball over probably a little bit more than we wanted to. But when we were able to get the ball to the areas...

I know on paper, (tonight’s game) may not look like a very good contest, but we’re going to be more than ready to face them. I don’t understand why they are (in last place). I...

The one at the end of the half really took us in the locker room on a real positive note. I don’t know a better way to lift a team. Even though we had scored...

They definitely showed that [this game] was important to them. It wasn’t just their offense; they did a great job defensively as a team.

We played a number of games with only six guys, and obviously had some success. Roles, not only are they changing and they’re being defined, but the guys are trying to adjust. It’s not always...

I thought we have a veteran club and we made a very big mistake there. We were fortunate to overcome that.

It’s nice to see where the program has come from when we started.

He just made some great shots. Outstanding players do that.

They’re not really small. They may be a little shorter, but they’re strong enough to be effective. They’re quick and strong and they have some basketball savvy. It’s more the mind-set than anything else. Instead...

Defensively as a team, they just did a great job.

He’s got great hands. He’s a tough young man who has a tremendous amount of determination. I mean, his determination is really what makes him the player he is. He’s obviously got good qualities –...

The level of competition is fairly equal. I think there is a lot of credibility that goes with both tournaments. For us, the location is what the difference is, but now is the time where...

Clearly, effort. That’s all it is. Against Georgia Tech, there were some things that we could do better. Execution, defense — that’s one thing. But what happened against N.C. State was lack of effort.

You have an individual people are going to enjoy being around. You have an individual who’s going to communicate well. And if given enough time, he’ll help get that program on a winning track.

We’re still trying to improve. We’re just not going to be a great free-throwing team. That’s something we just have to accept. We have to compensate for that.

We came down here with a purpose. But our goal is not over yet.

We’re really working hard to overcome that 0-3 start. We’re doing it slowly, but we’ve got to continue to work at it. Anytime you can go on the road and get a win in someone...

That’s the stuff that makes me look good. The guys came out focused.

It’s a little surprise to us, and it’s extremely disappointing that we’re playing on Thursday and not Friday. But, at the end of the day, let’s face it, we’re happy to be in the tournament.

Tim had to calm me down to put things in perspective with how far we had come that we were in that situation.

It had nothing to do with the game. It was a well-played game. It wasn’t even a distraction for either team. Maybe the fans and everybody else got excited.

That really helped lift us. I don’t know a better way to lift a team. It gave our guys a lot of confidence. It really made a difference in the start of the half.

You don’t want to take anything away from [Reynolds and Singletary]. They’ve been pretty consistent. They’ve been working their tails off all year long. It’s the role guys that are going to make the difference...

We knew them a little bit better.

We were fortunate to have a number of individuals on this team who want the ball, and when they get the ball in their area, they’re going to take it.

I don’t care which team you play in this league, they’re no trap games. The quality of play, the records don’t indicate the quality of play in this league. If you take any of the...

Guys like Jon were here and working hard when it was not the most fashionable thing to play basketball here at BC. When you see us reach the Sweet Sixteen and advance in the rankings...

We’re disturbed by that. You want to go out and respect the opponent and respond to that. We didn’t take it as a challenge. We just went with the flow. Quite honestly, the game’s over....

We came down here with a purpose. Right now, we have placed ourselves in a position to win this thing. We are obviously pleased with that. Our goal is not over, yet.

When Sean came in it changed the game. It got everybody excited.

He got open looks and he can score.

Here we are playing great basketball, and you’d think they’d take these things into consideration. From an academic standpoint, it has not served us very well. We’re going to have to go to the other...

Some of my coaches run. Some lift weights. I play basketball. It’s what I do.
